The Supreme Court of Crimea upheld the arrest of the Crimean Tatar Ismail Ramazanov, accused of inciting hatred using the Zello internet radio. about this on Facebook . writes Crimean Solidarity
Law enforcement agencies accuse Ramazanov of disseminating information that incites hatred and enmity (Article 282 of the Criminal Code) using the Zello internet radio. Allegedly, there is some kind of audio recording on which Ramazanov's voice is heard - and, according to the investigation, it contains signs of extremism.
At the meeting, Ramazanov and his lawyer drew the attention of the court to the fact that the investigation brought charges after ten days of arrest, and this contradicts Article 100 of the Code of Criminal Procedure: “The charge must be brought against the suspect no later than 10 days from the moment the preventive measure was applied, and if the suspect was detained, and then taken into custody - within the same period from the moment of detention. If charges are not brought within this period, then the measure of restraint is immediately canceled, except for the cases provided for by part two of this article .
In response to this, the prosecutor began to assert that Ramazanov could hide from the investigation because he has a second citizenship and does not have a “stable job”.
On February 19, the Simferopol District Court extended Ramazanov's detention until March 18, 2018. Then the Crimean Tatar said that he was going to prove his innocence in court and did not intend to hide from the investigation.
Earlier, Ramazanov stated that after his arrest he was severely beaten:
I was beaten by FSB officers. Yesterday morning, at my parents' house, and in the car, when I was being driven in an unknown direction. He asked for help, but the doctors stubbornly refused. Pain in the side, neck and head. I don't know if I can take part in the meeting or not.
According to the detainee, one of the FSB officers who had beaten him during his arrest was present at the hearing at which a measure of restraint was chosen for him on January 24. During the announcement of the court decision, Ramazanov could not stand because of the pain, it was difficult for him to speak.
Ramazanov's father said that the search in their house was carried out with violations. Two operatives entered the house, immediately threw a jacket on Ismail and "presany". They started asking where the phone was. Ramazanov replied that he had lost it. Then the search warrant was read out and the house was searched. A phone was found under the sofa almost immediately. At that moment there were no understandable people in the room. The operative called the witness, he came, took the phone, took it to another room and put it on the table.
