Tomsk: They promise to fine students who have not been attached to sections

In the Tomsk State Architectural and Civil Engineering University, students are threatened with fines if they are not attached to polling stations in dormitories. According to the TV-2 news agency , those who refuse to fill them out promise troubles.

According to the interlocutor of the publication , who, on the terms of anonymity, agreed to talk about what was happening, it became known from the elders of groups that those who do not submit an application would write out penalty points. The construction university has a rating system for settlement of students in a hostel. There are both encouraging points and penalties, it is supposedly almost impossible to cancel them. In addition, from the words of students, the commandant went around the room and said that it was necessary to get into the lists of voters in Tomsk.

The press service of the university said that in the Studgorodka a statement on attachment to polling stations did not force anyone. This was explanatory work among students and university employees so that they understand where to vote. The representative of TGASU reported that students will not accrue penalty points.

Similar cases, according to the Voice movement, were also recorded at Tomsk State University and Tomsk State Pedagogical University. According to the violations , at the meeting in the city administration of the consolidated student detachment of Tomsk, the participants were given forms on behalf of “United Russia” with a request to take part in the vote.

The elections of the President of Russia were scheduled for March 18, 2018. In total, eight candidates will be in the ballot.
