Amur Region: A soldier with a gunshot wound died

The conscript from the Chelyabinsk village of Kropachevo Evgeny Kuvaytsev, who received gunshot wounds in the military unit of Belogorsk in the Amur Region, died in the hospital yesterday, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Chelyabinsk Region.

Ombudsman Margarita Pavlova said that she would seek a fair investigation of the facts of the "hazing", leaving the case on personal control.

At the end of January, Evgenia Kuvaytsev was found in critical condition in the warehouse premises in the military unit No. 98671 of Belogorsk. A criminal case of attempted suicide has been instituted.

The military is indicated in the case, on the eve of the emergency, hit Kuvaytsev when working out a combat reception. The investigation believes that this could provoke suicide. At the end of last week, the soldier’s mother Elena Kuvaytseva, the battalion commander announced the hospitalization of his son. The family of the deceased said that the "suicide note" was not written by them. Eugene, according to them, went into the army in November with joy, because he believed that the army was his chance to break out of the village and make a career. After the incident, the sister of the soldier Valentina said that the military called relatives, asked, "how much mom was getting a salary, from which dad died, whether dad was sitting."
