Students protest at Moscow State University

Participants in the initiative group of Moscow State University’s initiative collected more than 4,000 signatures against the arrangement of the fan zone of the World Cup at the main building of the university. On February 21, they tried to transmit signatures to the rector personally. The activists failed to meet with the head of the university: elevators on the 9th floor where the rector is disconnected, turned off at the entrance to the stairs. At the main building of Moscow State University, the authorities plan to organize a fan zone for 40 thousand fans of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Almost 2.5 billion rubles were allocated for the reconstruction of the territory from the budget.
