
The Investigative Committee completed the investigation of the criminal case of fatal poisoning with alcohol tincture. Seven people are accused of the production and sales of the “hawthorn”, the press service of the UK said .
According to the investigation, from November to December 2016, the accused acquired 160 liters of methyl alcohol and prepared the alcohol -containing remedy "Boyaryshnik" from it for sale. In Irkutsk, 62 people died from the use of this tincture, another 15 people were harmful to health. The case will be sent to the court.

The investigation continues in relation to another 12 people who prepared and sold surrogate in the same way, but people did not die from the use of their products. One of the accused disappeared from the investigation authorities, now he is put on the wanted list.
In January, the court in Irkutsk sentenced the entrepreneur, who in the fall-winter 2016 organized the production of alcohol-containing fluid. The accused took a fine of 250 thousand rubles, and was also deprived of the right to engage in production.
In December 2016, in the Irkutsk region, the number of victims of poisoning by the “hawthorn” agent reached 74 people. In total, 122 people suffered. The emergency mode was temporarily introduced in the region, and the sale of non -food alcohol -containing products, including in household stores, was prohibited. The sale of non -food products with the content of ethyl alcohol more than 28% (except perfumes and glass washing liquids) in Russia is still prohibited.
