The court sentenced to terms of 4.5 to 8 years of four chapters of developers-contractors in the next case of the theft of 1.3 billion rubles during the construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur Region.

Yesterday, the Simonovsky court of Moscow awarded the head of the Volga-Vyatka construction company Alexander Bazankov 6 years in prison and a million rubles of a fine, his predecessor Evgenia Degtyareva was appointed 4.5 years of prison and also a million rubles of a fine. Degtyareva’s father, whom the investigation considers the actual owner of the construction company, received 8 years in prison and 1.5 million rubles of a fine, and the head of the company "VIP-Stroyining" Murat Matuev-5.5 years of prison and a fine of a million rubles.

The Volga-Vyatka company was a subcontractor "VIP-Stroyening", who won a competition for the construction of roads and society near the cosmodrome. The company spent an advance from the budget on paying off its own debts and illegal issuing loans. Sergei Degtyarev, according to the prosecution, issued large companies to other companies at interest. As a result, out of almost 2 billion rubles, the defendants stole more than 1.3 billion.

In criminal cases of theft during the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome, the construction of which started in 2011, 13 sentences were already issued. The first criminal cases of theft were opened in 2015, after the mass complaints of the workers of the cosmodrome about non -payment of salaries.
