Ukraine announced the creation of the Hyperloop test site in the Dnieper

Ukraine intends to join the Hyperloop project. This was stated by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan, writes Interfax .

“We establish a HYPE.UA transport innovation center, which should create the first test site in the Dnieper,” he said.

At the first stage of the project, the authorities intend to obtain a scientific assessment of the project from the National Academy of Sciences, and at the second stage in 2019 - to begin the construction of a test site in the Dnieper. After that, the authorities will begin the construction of the project.

The construction of Hyperloop without rolling stock in Ukraine was estimated at about $ 3 billion. This, according to Omelyan, is cheaper than the construction of high -speed railways. The authorities of Ukraine intend to attract investors.

Hyperloop will consist of pipes built above the ground, shuttles will move along them. It is planned that they can reach a speed of up to 750 miles per hour (1200 kilometers per hour). Now the company is testing the system.
