Snowboarder Galmarini from Switzerland won in parallel gigantic slalom of the 2018 Olympiad

The Swiss snowboarder Nevin Galmarini won the gold medal of the Olympic Games in South Korean Pyeongchang in the discipline by a parallel giant slalom. In the final, he defeated South Korean Lee San Ho. The bronze reward went to the Slovenian Jan Koshir.

Russians Vick Wilde and Dmitry Sarsembaev completed the struggle at the 1/8 finals.

“I have a motivation to speak further, including at the Olympic Games,” Wilde said to reporters. “While I have no specific plans for the next four years, but I would like to compete. And then let's see.”

Two more representatives of Russia - Andrei Sobolev and Dmitry Loginov - could not overcome qualifications.

The 31-year-old Galmarini first became the Olympic champion. At the games in Sochi, he won silver in parallel giant slalom. This season, Galmarini leads in the overall standings of the World Cup in this discipline.

Wilde is a two -time Olympic champion. Sobolev won the gold of the World Cup, and also became the winner of the World Cup in parallel giant slalom.
