On January 25, Moscow will host an agreed march in memory of Boris Nemtsov, who was killed three years ago. Meeting at 13:30 on Strastnoy Boulevard, the route of the procession is along the Boulevard Ring from Pushkinskaya Square to Sakharov Avenue.
In the initial notice of the action, the organizers indicated a different route. They assumed a procession from Kaluzhskaya Square along Yakimanka (this is how the participants of the March of Millions walked on May 6, 2012), and then along the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge - the place of Nemtsov's death - to Vasilyevsky Spusk. However, officials imposed the same route that the marches of 2016 and 2017 took.
Last year 's march in memory of Nemtsov brought together more than 15,000 participants .
Actions in memory of Nemtsov will be held on February 25 in other cities of Russia and abroad.
Nemtsov was shot dead late on the evening of February 27, 2015. in the murder case Five Chechens were convicted . Zaur Dadaev, a retired officer of the Kadyrov battalion of the Internal Troops "North", declared the direct perpetrator of the crime, received 20 years of strict regime, Anzor Gubashev - 19 years, his brother Shadid Gubashev - 16 years, former Chechen police officer Temirlan Eskerkhanov - 14 years, Khamzat Bakhaev - 11 years of strict regime. The roles of those convicted in the murder, as they are presented in the case, are questionable; The prosecution did not provide any evidence against Eskerkhanov and Bakhaev at all. Even the lawyers of the Nemtsov family insisted on justifying Bakhaev. Those who ordered the murder have not actually been identified.
