The Far Eastern District Military Court, having considered the case of embezzlement of over 5 billion rubles. during the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome, sentenced the former head of Dalspetsstroy Yuri Khrizman to 12 years in prison. This was reported in the IC of Russia .
Khrizman's son Mikhail was sentenced to five and a half years, and the company's chief accountant Vladimir Ashikhmin to seven years in prison. Ex-Speaker of the Khabarovsk Regional Duma Viktor Chudov was sentenced to six years in prison. In addition, the court ruled to recover 5.16 billion rubles. with Yuri Khrizman and Vladimir Ashikhmin at the suit of Roskosmos.
The trial of the theft at Vostochny began in May 2016, the case was considered behind closed doors, recalls Interfax . Khrizman and Ashikhmin were accused of abuse of power during the construction of spaceport facilities with damage of about 5.2 billion rubles. In addition, the defendants were accused of embezzlement by an organized group on an especially large scale. According to investigators, in 2006-2009 they stole about 106 million rubles belonging to Dalspetsstroy.
