Three years ago, on February 27, 2015, Boris Efimovich Nemtsov, co-chairman of the opposition party RPR-PARNAS, was shot dead near the Kremlin, on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge.
On the charge of this murder, on July 13, 2017, the Moscow District Court sentenced: the direct killer Zaur Dadaev - to 20 years in prison, his accomplices Anzor Gubashev - to 19, Shadid Gubashev - to 16, Temirlan Eskerkhanov - to 14, Khamzat Bakhaev - to 11 years of imprisonment. Ruslan Mukhudinov, who fled from the investigation, and other unidentified persons were named the organizers of the murder.
The opposition blames the assassination on the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and the company commander of the "North" battalion of the Chechen Interior Ministry, Ruslan Geremeev, for whom Mukhudinov worked as a driver, as well as on their patrons in the Kremlin.
