In Germany in the federal land, the Rhineland-Palatz decided to start using the Hitler's church bell again, which depicts the swastika and quote from the leader of the National Socialists.

The local council of the commune in Herkshaim-Am-Berg, did not remove the scandalous bell and again decided to take it into operation, DW reports. On February 26, ten members of the Council voted for using the bell, only two were against it.

The bell with the image of the swastika and the inscription "Everything for the Motherland - Adolf Hitler" belongs to the commune and hangs in the tower of the local Protestant church, but has not been used since September 2017. Earlier in the Evangelical Community, they promised to take on all the costs that would be required to dismantle the current bell and install a new one.

“The commune is necessary that we get a clear understanding in which direction we want to move,” said Burgomaster George Velker. According to experts, the “disposal” of the bell is a “escape from reasonable and free from the prejudices of the memory culture”. However, it is possible that the bell will be transferred to the museum.
