Leave the restaurant without waiting for the waiter with the account. The new application automates the payment process

BarclayCard, daughter of Barclay's Bank, has developed an application that allows you to leave the restaurant or cafe, without waiting for the waiter to bring the score. This is written by Bloomberg.

The application, called Dine & Dash, is now in testing. In order not to wait for the waiter with the account, the user will need to attach a smartphone to a special device on the table before ordering. After that, the cost of the order is counted automatically, and when the client leaves the restaurant, he is drunk with a bank card attached to the application.

The value of the account and the list of ordered positions will be displayed in Dine & Dash in real time. The application will also implement the possibilities of dividing the score, as well as use discount coupons and cards of regular customers.

At the first stage, Dine & Dash will be available only in the UK. The largest networks of pubs and restaurants of the country have already been announced about the desire to connect to the system created.

The development of such an application, first of all, is caused not by the unwillingness of customers to quickly leave the restaurant, but with the needs of the business itself. A recent BarclayCard study showed that 95% of public catering company owners would like waiters and bartenders more to concentrate directly on the distribution and serving of food and drinks than on customer calculations.
