
The Smolninsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested Denis Mikhailov for 25 days, the coordinator of the local headquarters of the strike Alexei Navalny. This was reported in the group "Navalny team | St. Petersburg in VKontakte.
Mikhailov was found guilty under Part 8 of Art. 20.2 Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of the public action) due to participation in the “voters strike”. The activist announced a hunger strike.
The coordinator of the headquarters was detained immediately after he left the special reception, where he was serving administrative arrest.
On January 31, the court had already appointed Mikhailov for 30 days under the same article, accusing the organization of the protest campaign on January 28. On the same day, he was also found guilty of the manufacture, distribution or placement of campaign materials in violation of the law (Article 5.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). On February 12, the court upheld the arrest of the activist.
The coordinator was also detained during the “voters' strikes” on January 28, but released it without a protocol.
