The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that on March 4, heavy snowfall with a blizzard and wind with gusts of up to 15 meters per second are expected in Moscow.
Earlier, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that on March 3-4, about 14 centimeters of snow would fall in Moscow, that is, more than 40 percent of the monthly norm. It is expected that the snowfall will stop by the morning of March 5. The temperature next week will be 4-7 degrees below normal (-4 degrees Celsius).
Heavy snowfall and wind with gusts of up to 15-20 meters per second on March 3-4 is expected throughout central Russia.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations strongly recommends residents of the capital to bypass billboards and shaky structures, not to hide under trees. Motorists are advised to significantly reduce their speed and increase their distance from vehicles in front. It is also recommended to avoid sharp maneuvers, overtaking, lane changes, and advances.
