The head of the Grozny "memorial" Oyub Titiev extended the arrest

The Staropromyslovsky District Court of Grozny extended the arrest of the head of the Chechen branch of Memorial Oyub Titiev for two months until May 9. This was reported in the telegram channel of the human rights center "Memorial".

At the meeting, lawyer Peter Zaikin petitioned the election of a preventive measure for Titiev in the form of personal guarantee. For the head of the Grozny Memorial, who is accused of storing drugs, Presidential candidates Grigory Yavlinsky and Ksenia Sobchak were instructed.

As they write in the telegram channel, “neither the investigator nor the prosecutor again cited any evidence that Oyub, in the event of a different preventive measure, would be hidden from the investigation or will put pressure on investigators, witnesses, etc.”
