Putin signed a law restricting baiting in the training of hunting dogs

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law banning contact baiting in the preparation and training of hunting dogs, according to the official portal of legal information.

The document says that now the preparation and training of dogs should be carried out only in hunting grounds and in ways that "do not allow harsh treatment of animals and causing them physical harm."

In addition, there must be barriers between dogs and wild animals that are being trained in artificial conditions that can prevent physical harm to animals.

Recall that in the first version of the bill it was said about the complete ban on contact inoculation. As a result, the Federation Council in December last year did not miss it, while the document passed all the readings in the State Duma.

Disagreements arose due to the fact that the Federation Council spoke about the need to leave the possibility of contact baiting of birds of prey, since its absence could undermine the security of airports. The State Duma drew attention to the need for a more humane treatment of animals and a complete ban on baiting stations.

As a result of the discussions, the parties agreed to "separate two concepts - the cruel training of dogs at training stations and the training of hunting dogs."

As a result, the parties - representatives of the State Duma and the Federation Council - agreed to hold an expert meeting with representatives of the Federal Security Service (FSO), the Federal Security Service (FSB) and airports.
