The city court of St. Petersburg upheld 25 days of arrest for the coordinator of the headquarters of Alexei Navalny Denis Mikhailov. It is reported by ZakS.ru.
The activist was brought to court in handcuffs.
Mikhailov was arrested on March 2. He was found guilty under Part 8 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of the procedure for holding a public action) due to participation in the “Voters' Strike”. The activist went on a hunger strike.
The headquarters coordinator was detained immediately after he left the special detention center where he was serving an administrative arrest.
On January 31, the court already appointed Mikhailov 30 days under the same article, accusing him of organizing a protest action on January 28. On the same day, he was also found guilty of producing, distributing or placing campaign materials in violation of the law (Article 5.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
