In the Penza region, an activist was fined because of songs on the social network VKontakte.

The Kuznetsk District Court of the Penza Region fined activist Kirill Kotov 2,000 rubles because of the audio recordings on the social network. Kotov himself told OVD-Info about this.

He was found guilty of distributing extremist materials (Article 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). According to law enforcement officers, on December 15, the activist posted on his page on the social network VKontakte Alexander Kharchikov’s songs “They don’t sow bread” and “Prepare the lists”, as well as the songs of the Kolovrat group “Russia” and “Glory to the Russians !!!”. Earlier, these audio recordings were included in the federal list of extremist materials.

According to Kotov, he posted the songs out of solidarity with Penza blogger Stanislav Morozov, who was also fined two thousand rubles for the songs of the Kolovrat group on the social network. At the same time, in the publication, Kotov indicated that the songs were recognized as extremist and banned.

The activist said that police officers came to him with a "stack of printed screenshots" from his social media page. According to him, the police captain said that “activities from the account amount to article 282” of the criminal code (inciting hatred or enmity), but then added that he did not want to do this and would not initiate a case.

In February, Kirill Kotov was detained during a solitary picket.
