Moscow Art Theater announced the abolition of performances

In the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. In connection with the death of the artistic director of the theater Oleg Tabakov, Chekhov decided to cancel all performances for three days.

This was reported by "Interfax" with reference to the press service of the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov.

Farewell to Oleg Tabakov will take place in the theater, the press service explained. The date will be announced later.

Oleg Tabakov died today, March 12, at the age of 82.

Since 1983, the history of the Moscow Art Theater has been associated with his name. Oleg Tabakov played in the performances “The bench”, “Basil of the Holy”, “Woe from Wit”, “Tartuf”, “Copenhagen”, “The Last Sacrifice”, “The Judge of Jeweler” and “Dragon”. Since 2000, he was the artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov, since 2004-the director of the theater, in 1986–2000-the rector of the MXAT school-studio, where he released four acting courses.
