A resident of Kemerovo was fined for publishing a song by the group “GROT” on a social network

The Rudnichny District Court of the city of Kemerovo fined a local resident a thousand rubles due to the publication of the song “Smoke” by the rap duo “GROT” on the social network. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kemerovo region.

The man was charged under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (production and distribution of extremist materials).

In July 2015, the Sarov City Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region recognized the song as extremist and added it to the appropriate list. The court's decision caused bewilderment among the band's fans, who later posted an online petition in defense of the song.

Apparently, as the journalists of the Tjournal website suggest , the reason for the ban was the line of the song, which mentions some "oil-owners", and calls to "do something" with them. Both the video and lyrics are currently available on Youtube.
