Angara region: The court sentenced 12 "black" lumberjacks

The Nizhneudinsky city court in the Irkutsk region found guilty 12 "black" lumberjacks. Depending on participation in illegal cutting, they were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment. The damage from their activities amounted to about 1 million rubles, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office said .

According to the court, the organizer of illegal felling attracted three foremen, instructed them to hire workers, provided them with cars and tools, organized the export and sale of harvested wood.

The organizer was found guilty of nine episodes, the court appointed him 4.5 years in prison. Three foremen were sentenced to terms from two years 10 months to three years of real term. The most active participant in the felling is deprived of a 3.5 year in a general regime colony. The remaining seven people received conditional punishment from two years 10 months to three years.
