If British experts were not mistaken, and a “novice” was really applied in relation to Skripal, then this is the first known case of its use outside Russia. And perhaps the first in general.

There was an assumption that the substance of the same class, and, perhaps, far from the most toxic derivative, in 1995 businessman Ivan Kivividi and his secretary were killed. A month later, from poisoning by the same substance, a patrolman died, opening the body of Kivividi. The name and composition of the poisonous substance during the court and after it were not made public, except that it was a “rare substance of neurotoxic action”.

So far, it was only assumed that some options for the “beginner” 5-8 times stronger than the deadly agent VX. The case of poisoning of one of the Soviet scientists who worked on a “novice” in the Moscow laboratory in 1987 is described. Andrei Zheleznyakov was in critical condition for 10 days, but survived. For five years he suffered from the consequences, among which there were cirrhosis of the liver, epilepsy, severe depression, the inability to concentrate. In July 1992, he died.

The substance was developed in such a way that it was not determined by the standard NATO equipment for OV so that its precursors (roughly speaking, the reagents from which it is made) did not fall under international restrictions and that it is safe in transportation. And everything turned out: precursors themselves are much less toxic substances than the final product, they can be completely legally synthesized at a regular factory for the production of fertilizers or pesticides. And mix in the right proportions immediately before use - in the ampoule or shell. Therefore, the question of London to Russian diplomats - as a combat poisonous substance hit the UK does not make much sense, most likely it was already obtained in the kingdom, and quite ordinary, one might say, safe substances were transported across the border.

Unless, of course, transported. It is easy to foresee objections, they say that it prevented the British from raising these fertilizers-perursors themselves, then mix, poison and, as always, dump everything on Russia. You never know that it was invented in the Union, the formulas are known, so they framed us. It is interesting that when Litvinenko was poisoned, at first it was also assumed that we could talk about a “newcomer”, but then they realized that it was polonium.

It is believed that only a liter of such a substance may theoretically be enough to destroy the entire population of such a large city as Moscow or London, it all depends on the conditions. But even if you lay with a large margin of, say, a whole ton, the delivery of such an amount can be carried out only by a few missiles, for example, Iskander.
