The Embassy of the Russian Federation in London wants to access the daughter of Skripal

The Russian Embassy in London intends to request on Wednesday, March 14, consular access to the daughter of the former GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal Julia, who, like her father, has been in one of the London hospitals in serious condition for several days, without consciousness, as they believe, poisoning with neuro-paralytic substance.

"Today, the embassy in London will ask for access to the daughter of Skripal, she is a citizen of Russia," said the representative of the diplomatic mission of Interfax .

As reported, the 66-year-old Skripal and his 33-year-old daughter were found on March 4 on a bench next to the shopping center in Salisbury. Now both are in the hospital in critical condition.

The British government came to the conclusion that the Russian daughter is most likely to attack the Skripal and his daughter. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called these accusations a “circus show” , and the head of the ministry Sergey Lavrov - an ultimatum.

In Russia, they categorically deny involvement in the poisoning of Skripal. This, in particular, was stated by the Russian Embassy in the UK in a note sent to the Foreign Ministry of the United Kingdom.

According to the British police, Skripal and his daughter were poisoned by the neuro-paralytic substance created back in the USSR. In connection with the incident in London, a meeting of the National Security Council is being held today, at which ministers and senior representatives of the British intelligence community are discussing a possible response to an incident with a former Russian intelligence officer.

Skripal was arrested in Russia in 2004. Two years later, hewas condemned for the Stateismman , on charges of espionage against the British intelligence services.

The ex-spy was sentenced to 13 years in prison, deprived of all titles and awards. In 2010, he was pardoned by President Dmitry Medvedev along with three more Russians convicted of treason, - Igor Sutyan, Alexander Zaporizhsky and Gennady Vasilenko. In the same year, they were exchanged for Russian agents detained in the United States, after which the ex-colonel of the GRU settled in the UK.
