UEFA opened the case against the Turkish club "Besiktash" because of the cat running out on the field

Animals often appear on football fields, but this time the team faces a fine.

The match of the 1/8 finals of the Champions Football League between the Turkish "Besiktash" and the German "Bavaria", held on March 14, was suspended from the cat. On March 15, UEFA opened the case against Besiktash because of an ineffective organization.

The animal made it to the stadium at the beginning of the second half. The cat climbed onto the advertising shield, and then jumped onto the lawn, looked along the front line and disappeared into the stands.

Arbiter Michael Oliver briefly interrupted the match, the game ended with a score of 3: 1 in favor of Bavaria.

The appearance of cats at football matches is not uncommon. So, in 2014, an employee of the Kamp Nou stadium in Barcelona had to take a black cat himself from the field. In 2015, another cat appeared on the field during the Dutch match, but the game was not suspended. The Enfield stadium in Liverpool also has its own black cat, which periodically appears on the lawn.
