In Ingushetia, lawyer Kheda Ibriyeva was able to get to the ex-chairman of the regional branch of the PARNAS party, Magomed Khazbiev. She herself informed OVD-Info about this.
On March 15, Ibriyeva tried for the second time to meet with her client in pre-trial detention center No. 1 in the city of Karabulak. In order to get a date with Khazbiev, she first had to get to the special unit, where they issue a demand with which she would have already gone to the pre-trial detention center. There was not a single employee who could write out the demand on the spot. However, the right employee was still found after Ibriyeva complained to the prosecutor's office.
According to the lawyer, Khazbiev has lost six kilograms, but he does not complain about a serious deterioration in his health.
On March 13, after the hunger strike was announced, Khazbiev, through his second lawyer, conveyed to Ibriyeva a request to come to him the next day without fail. On March 14, she arrived at the pre-trial detention center, but could not enter the territory of the institution despite the issued pass. The SIZO staff refused to let the lawyer in, also citing the absence of the right employee at the workplace.
Then the lawyer demanded a meeting with the head of the pre-trial detention center, Musa Batygov, whose car, standing at the entrance to the pre-trial detention center, was recognized by Khazbiev's brother. “I was told that the chief was not there either, his deputy, Satuev, came out, said that he could not do anything and left. After some time, Batygov got out, got into his car and drove away,” the lawyer said.
