A member of the PEC was detained in Kazan

A member of the election commission with the right to consultative vote Maxim Pankratov was detained at a polling station in Kazan. He told OVD-Info that he was being taken to the Azino-2 police department. He is accused of interfering with the work of the election commission.

According to Pankratov, shortly before the end of the work of the site, two people appeared there who identified themselves as observers from Ksenia Sobchak and Grigory Yavlinsky. At the same time, the observer from Sobchak was already at the site. The newcomer, who called himself an observer from Sobchak, began to ask the observer present at the site to leave and give him a place. Pankratov interrupted the conversation, and the newcomer left. Pankratov himself is a representative of Yavlinsky's headquarters in the commission, and he did not know anything about the fact that an observer was sent to the station. The visitor, who called himself an observer from Yavlinsky, began to threaten him. He was forced to leave, but after that the chairman of the commission locked himself in a room with a police officer, and Pankratov was forbidden to film and talk on the phone at the station.

Then Pankratov was detained. According to him, although the man who identified himself as an observer from Yavlinsky was also accused of interfering with the work of the commission, they did not detain him.

UPD : Later, Pankratov told OVD-Info that he wrote an explanation to the department about what happened, after which the police called witnesses to conduct a search. He was also required to undergo fingerprinting.
