On March 6, the judge of the Staropromyslovsky District Court of the Grozny Vakha Mintsaev extended the term of Titiev’s detention in the pre -trial detention center for two months - until May 9. Politsek’s lawyer Peter Zaikin insisted on the release of his client under guarantee, previously declared by two presidential candidates - Grigory Yavlinsky and Ksenia Sobchak. However, Mintsaev took the side of the investigator and the prosecutor.
The 60-year-old Titiev was detained by the Kadyrovites on January 9 and was arrested two days later. Politzeku was charged with part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code (illegal overalls of drugs on a large scale), which provides for 3 to 10 years in a colony. According to the plot of the case, Titiev was in 180 grams of marijuana in the car.
Initially, the OMVD in the Kurchaloevsky district of Chechnya was engaged in the case. In early February, the investigation was transferred to the Chechen Directorate of the TFR .
