Macau Conduer will perform Tchaikovsky at the Trans-Siberian Art Festival

The Trans-Siberian art festival will continue with the concert "With a Double Charm!". The young conductor from the Macau Lio Kuokman will stand behind the console of the Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra, which, together with the cellist, Pablo Ferrandes will perform Glinka, Haydn and the fifth symphony of Tchaikovsky.

The main character of the double charming program on March 19 will be the basic team of the Trans-Siberian art festival-the Novosibirsk Academic Symphony Orchestra. Well acquaintances of the permanent guests of the festival, cellist Pablo Ferrandes and the winner of the III contest named after Svetlanov, Kidier Lio Kuokman, perform with him. The cellular concert to Major Haydn will sound surrounded by the iconic works for the Russian culture: overture for the opera Ruslan and Lyudmila Glinka and the fifth symphony of Tchaikovsky.

“I came to the festival in 2016 and already worked with the Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra. I remember his emotional return, especially when we played Prokofiev. At rehearsals, I now feel the same energy, ”said Taiga.info Lio Kuokman.

To the question of what causes the choice of works for the concert, the maestro joked: “This is the fifth Trans-Siberian art festival-therefore, the fifth symphony of Tchaikovsky!” He then explained that this choice was rather spontaneous. “Although now I remembered that in my childhood in Macao we had a cassette in our house: Beethoven was recorded on one side, and on the other the fifth symphony of Tchaikovsky,” the musician added. - It turns out that I grew up with this music! ”

He also said that two years ago he managed to communicate with students of the Novosibirsk Conservatory and carry them with an orchestra than he was very happy.

“I always communicate with young musicians with great pleasure, because they are our future. This time, due to a dense schedule of rehearsals and concerts, it will not be possible to meet with students, ”said the conductor. “But I know for sure that one of the students that was at my master class last time is now an artist of the orchestra!”

Concerts of the Trans-Siberian art festival, led by Vadim Repin, will be held from March to July 2018. The Russian part of the forum will last from March 9 to May 13 and will include Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Samara in its route. The foreign part of the route will be held in the USA and Japan in June and July.
