In the region, which many call “red”, where the support of the Communist Party is traditionally strong, whose candidate Pavel Grudinin gains about 16.5%, which is 6% less than the result of Gennady Zyuganov in 2012. These indicators are less than in Altai and in Omsk. It is also worth noting that Novosibirsk himself, always less willingly voting for the “party in power”, this time showed the best result than the region.

The most optimistic forecasts of the region’s leadership were justified. It is now not even about the results and turnout. Particular attention in the preparation of these elections was given their legitimacy and lack of violations. Judging by the rather scarce information about violations even on the sites of political competitors, the Novosibirsk government managed to do this. When counting the votes of Taiga.info, she talked with the head of the YP faction in the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk Region Andrei Panferov, who first noted that everything went calmly.

“It is especially pleasing that our region did not stain itself with scandals, or some kind of fraud and odious performances. This suggests that people carefully approached the elections, ” said United Russia.

Apparently, the acting governor and his apparatus managed to cope with the task. The “young technocrat”, who never became close to any group of influence in regional politics, passed the first big exam. Some Taiga.info's interlocutors suggested that at the night briefing from the mouth of the acting, a statement will be made about participation in the governor’s elections that will be held in the Novosibirsk Region in September 2018. This did not happen, but few have doubts that such a statement will follow soon. If two months ago there was no clear confidence in the September prospects of Travnikov, today everything is already clear.
