Later, the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region said that more than 50 children from different educational institutions turned to the Central Hospital of Volokolamsk.
The press service of the local administration said that on the night of March 21, a landfill gas was released at the Yadrovo training ground.

Ekaterina Volkova, Deputy Head of the Department of Education of the Volokolamsk District, said that a strong emission occurred in the city, presumably, hydrogen sulfide. There were no emergency in schools, the official emphasized.
The inhabitants of Volokolamsk have long been protesting against the local landfill. On March 3, a rally was held in the city, in which about 4 thousand people or about 10% of residents took part. On March 7, to eliminate the consequences of the emission of landfill gas, the emergency mode was introduced at the training ground. The reason for the gas release could be insufficient supplying the landfill and the work of heavy equipment that violated the protective layer.
