On March 20, it became known that the Federal Air Transport Agency limited the validity period of the operator of the Saratov Airlines JSC until April 27. The company also demanded to suspend flights on the An-148 aircraft.

“Based on the results of an unscheduled inspection inspection of Saratov Airlines JSC conducted by the Federal Air Transport Agency after a heavy aviation accident with the An-148, RA-61 704 aircraft, violations and inconsistencies were identified by the requirements of federal aircraft rules. Guided by air legislation, the Federal Air Transport Agency introduced the limitation of the validity of the operator of the airline until April 27, 2018, ”the Rosavision website says.

Until this date, “Saratov Airlines” has been granted time to eliminate all comments. Based on the work done by the air carrier, a decision will be made on the further activities of the airline, the department added.

Similarly, Rostransnadzor reported on the results of checking the airline. They also reported that checks are being carried out in other airlines operating the An-148.

The Federal Air Transport Agency emphasized that other civil aviation airlines in their An-148 Park Directives on the suspension of the flights of these types of aircraft did not direct the aircraft. In total, according to the agency, 15 An-148 aircraft are operated in Russian airlines, including four at the Saratov Airlines JSC.
