The head of the Ministry of Finance, Anton Siluanov , told Russian President Vladimir Putin where the department would find funds to fulfill the tasks set by the head of state in his message to the Federal Assembly. According to Siluanov, the tax burden will not be increased.
“We are talking about the fact that in general the tax burden will not be increased, we are saying that we will work precisely in terms of improving tax collection,” the minister said.
According to him, the department will work to ensure that business does not evade taxes, changes are being prepared in interbudgetary relations. The Ministry of Finance will present specific proposals "in the near future."
Earlier, Vedomosti reported that the government was considering an increase in the personal income tax rate to 15%, and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said that this increase would not become critical.
