On the day of the elections (which was both the day of the Paris Commune and the Day of the Political Plane) in the theater.doc the play “Torture 2018” was held: reading protocols and diaries in the “Penza case”. It drowned in the stream of political news and election campaign, so I briefly remind you what the essence is.
In October last year, a group of young anti -fascists was detained in Penza. They are accused of creating a terrorist community under the conditional name "Network". Under torture, almost all of them gave conference, they said what they demanded of them.
And recently, for the first time in history, FSB officers recognized the fact of using shockers during the interrogation of the St. Petersburg Anti -Fascist Viktor Filinkov. According to their version, these were not torture, but the need - supposedly detainees tried to escape.
The arrested are like -minded Stas Markelov and Nastya Baburova, who were killed in 2009 in the center of Moscow by neo -Nazis. Their memory every year is marked with a procession along the boulevard ring.
Less than ten years have passed, and here is a relapse before us: an attack on anti -fascists from the state.
The rough tongue of the protocol is more expressive than any journalism. Dmitry Pchelintsev was tortured every day - they hung upside down, connected the current to different parts of the body. Vasily Kuksov was greatly beaten: his face was broken, the clothes were torn and stained with blood. Doctors diagnosed Igor Shishkin, detained in St. Petersburg, a fracture of the lower wall of the eye socket, numerous hematomas and abrasions. Multiple bodily injuries were recorded, including burns from a stamper. Ilya Kapustin was taken to the forest, beaten with a stamper and threatened to break his legs.
Similar news from Chechnya and Donbass reached us before, but for the first time this is the first time (more than 15 victims) takes place in the center of Russia.
Penza guys (they are not even thirty, the eldest - 29) were engaged in strikbole, listened to independent music, read anarchist books. Thousands of young people are engaged in this. Now, any of them, if desired, can be attracted under the article “Terrorism”.
Alexei Polikhovich (he served three years in the “swamp business”), who staged this performance in the “Dock”, did not have to come up with anything, no monologues-dialogues, but you won’t come up with this:
“I was in a panic,” the text of Viktor Filinkov reads the left activist Alexei Sutuga. - I said that I do not understand anything, after which I received the first blow by the current. It was unbearably painful. I screamed, and my body straightened up. The man in a mask ordered to shut up and not twitch. The shock in the leg alternated with shock in handcuffs. Sometimes I beat in the back or nape. It was felt like slaps. When I screamed, my mouth was clamped or threatened. I did not want a gag and tried not to scream, it did not always work out. ”
“Probably, this is the worst thing that is happening now in Russia,” Polykhovich told me after the performance. - But there are no levers of influence on the FSB officers. All complaints against them are crossed by him. That is, they must check themselves. Naturally, they will not do this. The only thing that can save the guys is public pressure.
- But for several months there were not even attempts to pressure. Why?
- The location is important here. In St. Petersburg and Moscow there are developed assistance mechanisms. There are independent journalists, human rights activists. There is nothing similar in Penza. The environment also matters. The “swamp business”, according to which there are many leftists, including me, was important for the entire liberal-democratic opposition. This is a story that is understandable to the average journalist from the capital.
And here people who are accused of very tough articles. Not liberals. Not Moscow activists. It is necessary to break the prejudice towards them.
While Moscow was silent and was finished with stingy news paragraphs, the case, which was originally Penza, spread first to Peter, then to Chelyabinsk, and in March already to the capital. Several people (ATD-Info reports nine) were detained after the action in support of the Penza anti-fascists.
The Moscow anarchist Svyatoslav Rechkalov, released on subscription, tells the "new":
- They put on my head a bag, after which they beat with electric shock, constantly increasing the discharge power and duration, and demanded that I give confessions.
Protests against torture go mainly on the principle of ideological proximity. Anarchists protest, anti -fascists protest. Solidarity shares were held in Copenhagen, Toronto, Berlin, New York. Finnish anarchists and anti -fascists arranged a demonstration of the Russian embassy. In Stockholm, on the way from the metro to the embassy, Viktor Filinkov’s diary, one of the defendants in torture business, and posters with hashtag #stopfsbtorture were hung. In St. Petersburg in a small bar, a concert was held in support of the arrested Antif. It was possible to collect 42,500 rubles. For comparison: a year ago, at a similar concert in favor of Ildar Dadin, who was tortured in the Karelian colony, 29 thousand were collected. But then there were without incidents, and in St. Petersburg there was an incident. Harvested activists burst into the hall, started a fight.
OMON would come in Moscow or the security forces called the club owner with a convincing request to cancel everything, as was the case with the anti-war deserter fest. And in St. Petersburg the right came. “The situation began to resemble the middle of the zero,” said Maxim Dinkevich, the editor of the Sadwave music portal, “when every second punk concert was subjected to attacks.”
Both in Moscow and in St. Petersburg, pickets were held in support of the anti -fascists, and probably still pass. But still, this story did not receive a big resonance. The mass audience is more interesting to discuss the disagreement of Sobchak and Navalny, and the anarchists - what to take from them.
But this business is not about anarchism and not even about anti -fascism, but about the fact that tomorrow they can come for you - for any reason. The stun gun does not distinguish his own from strangers.
The government tests us, checks the space of the possible. If now we are silent, we will not enter each other, then you can continue in the same spirit. Already now it is clear that the case of anti -fascists will expand. Exceptions from local ones become massive. We have no pressure mechanisms for the torture organs, there is no instance that could give them hands. The only way is maximum publicity and public pressure, only this can at least somehow keep the security forces from further arrests and torture.
On Facebook there is a project #117 (according to the number of an article of the Criminal Code punishing for the use of torture), information on Penza and other anti-Antifachist affairs is accumulated there. There are six videos of cultural figures recorded in support of the detainees: Dmitry Bykov, Andrei Makarevich, Dmitry Shagin, Kirill Medvedev, Artem Loskutov, Artemy Troitsky.
I would like to believe that in the near future such appeals will be not six, but six thousand. And then after all, they will be transferred one by one.
“Completely Gulag’s pictures of strangulations, beatings, abductions. These stories began to be repeated with a menacing frequency. Return to torture practice is a relapse of the condo, the most gloomy period of Russian history. ”
“If we have young anti -fascists are trying to introduce terrorists, the question arises: who are these people themselves? Guys, are you crazy? "
“For me, this is torture for myself. Torturing these guys, they torture us all. ”
“Anti -fascists are repressed by the authorities, which has been positioning itself as the most anti -fascist power in the world for several years. Isn't that hypocrisy? "
“If you detain me and beat me with a stouter shker, I confess to terrorism, Satanism and anything. And if Feesbashnikov torture, they also confess to anything. Anti -fascism is not a crime. And anarchism is not a crime. But torture is a crime, and what else. ”
“Torture is a testimony that the case is wyed with white threads. There would be evidence - they would not torture. ”
