The coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in Chita was reinstated at the university by court decision

The coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in Chita, Mikhail Fayzrakhmanov, was reinstated at the university by a court decision. The activist was expelled allegedly due to absenteeism. The Trans-Baikal Regional Court overturned the decision of the Ingodinsky District Court and ordered the Trans-Baikal State University to reinstate the activist. The court canceled the order of Rector Ivanov.

In December 2017, the coordinator filed a lawsuit against the rector of the Trans-Baikal State University, from which the activist was expelled allegedly for absenteeism. As Faizrakhmanov clarified then, in accordance with the university charter, he had the right to be expelled only in the event of an existing academic debt, but there was none.

“In the general department of the dean’s office and in the submission for expulsion written by my head of the department, they blatantly lied to me - that they allegedly tried to contact me before the submission was written,” said Fayzrakhmanov.

The activist was expelled on November 2 by order of the rector, motivated by missing classes. According to Fayzrakhmanov, the reasons for the absences were valid. Navalny's headquarters believe that the expulsion is connected with the political activities of the coordinator.

• In February 2018, the FSB sent documents to the police to verify Mikhail Fayzrakhmanov. He was suspected of violating Part 1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses - a violation by the organizer of the established procedure for organizing the action.

“Allegedly, I called on my VK page to participate in an unauthorized action on January 28th. The action, as you know, was agreed in Chita, but nevertheless, the local branch of the FSB found 16 pages of material,” Fayzrakhmanova wrote.
