In Yoshkar-Ola, officials are threatening to take children away from a teacher who has gone on a hunger strike because her labor rights have been violated. It is reported by "Idel. Realii" with reference to the head of the independent trade union "Teacher" in Mari El, Olga Belous.
According to Belous, representatives of the city administration tried to get into the apartment of Ekaterina Sokolova, a teacher at the Harmony art school, and threatened to take away her two minor children.
On March 14, Yekaterina Sokolova went on a hunger strike due to unbearable working conditions and lack of financial means to support her children. According to her, her salary was halved - from 27 thousand to 15 thousand rubles a month. At the same time, the hourly load remained the same.
The teacher also demanded an end to psychological pressure and labor discrimination, as well as an independent verification of the director's work and the suitability of her qualifications for the position. The next day, she managed to reach an agreement with the principal of the school and the relevant deputy mayor. However, the school leadership did not fulfill the terms of the agreement, so on March 23 the teacher resumed her hunger strike, reports . 7x7
