The Literary Prize named after Hans Christian Andersen 2018 in the nomination “Book Illustration” was awarded to Russian artist Igor Oleinikov.

Among the nominees of the award this year were also writers and artists from France, Iran, New Zealand, Sweden, Argentina, Austria, China, Poland and Switzerland.

The Hansa Andersen Award has been awarded for more than 60 years and is considered the most prestigious reward in the field of children's literature. Until 2018, the representative of our country became the laureate of Andersen Prize only once-in 1976 it was received by the illustrator Tatyana Mavrina.
