Shopping centers are murderers

Let's forbid to build new shopping centers in cities and have children's centers there. These are devices for attracting the flow of customers from parents. And these are murderers.

But I want to say about shopping centers. I once left the city council of Moscow, because we were all forced to coordinate shopping centers there all the time. This is a very specific format.

Everyone is amazed at how it was possible to leave such a number of children without adults, why the teacher put the class in the cinema and went shopping, why parents left children and so on. But this is expressly provided by the format of the shopping center. There is the whole point in creating a stream of family visits, then divide children and parents (animation rooms, cinemas, rinks) and send parents to walk in the trading area for a couple of hours so that they could not not buy anything.

We are shocked by the number of victims , but we know little how much we saved. But the fact is that shopping centers feed from the flow and apply all the forces to intensify it. There, ideally, the people as in the subway at rush hour or at the airport. But only people with such an accumulation are not organized into technological chains, they do not need to go anywhere, they need to simply stay and do nothing. At the same time, from the point of view of trade, it is important that the outputs are not in sight, so that until you go through the entire floor, it was impossible to go out - there everything is designed to slow down and an increase in stay.

Three different protocols come across there. Fires requires the maximum speed of evacuation and the maximum number of outputs. But the anti -terrorist security protocol requires difficulty entering and checking each incoming one. And the protocol of protection from thieves requires difficulty in output, slowing down and the possibility of checking. Hence the extra, from the point of view of the safety of people and goods, the entrances and exits simply cannot but close. They are closed everywhere.

To attract the flow, a constant updating of the interior is required - you need to create a visual event. This is an endless stream of temporary expositions, temporary materials, attractions, new furniture, new finishes. They are temporary, therefore cheap, therefore fire hazardous. And they need to be changed all the time to new ones to attract attention. Plus, this is tons of fire hazardous packaging, garbage, mainly plastic. These are warehouses with gunpowder in which people, like herring in a barrel. In order for people to be safe in such places, they must be prepared, trained, internally concentrated - as in dangerous production. But then the whole point is that you are sold relaxation, entertainment, relaxation, comfort. It is impossible to force people to relax in dangerous production mode.

The shopping center is evil, but there were very great financial interests behind this evil, and in Moscow it is so directly oligarchic. People liked these centers - before the tragedy in Kemerovo.

Imagine the same retail and entertainment areas in the first floors along the streets. The fire would not create any danger to people - they would just knock out the windows of the window and went out into the street. So, in Germany, construction in the format of shopping centers is prohibited closer than 10-15 km. From the city (depending on the size of the city). I don’t know the norms for Italy, but there is the same thing - all these trade malls are outside cities, in a clean field. They are probably safer in terms of norms, but that's not the point. These are measures against excessive concentration of people. The business earns from the flow, but society specially limits it precisely for security. Yes, it is clear that this “winter cherry” could not burn so scary if it weren’t for the most diverse safety violations-someone still designed it with some of the rule. Operating services, protection, consistent of instances, and so on, obviously, in the mass of places barked. But this device itself - a shopping center - is incredibly dangerous. And here it is not so important whether the heroes who saved were found.

And it is not so important that all responsible people - from guards to tickets - first relaxed, then decided to prevent panic, then scared and fled. The most decisive and smart people rarely go to the guards to shopping centers, this is a different specialization. It is important that the device itself is very dangerous, and it is sold as a place of relaxation and rest.

In contrast to Holland, for example, it is strictly forbidden to make kindergartens in the upper floors of buildings - precisely because it is impossible to save children and they themselves cannot get out. Do you know how many large shopping centers of the same format we have in Kemerovo - with the children's section at the top, with cinemas, rollers, animations and so on? There are six hundred of them.

I understand that it is impossible to close them. I left the city council of Moscow, but it was impossible to do more - all the architects understood that it was evil, but behind this evil there were very great financial interests, and in Moscow so explicitly oligarchic. And people liked these centers - before the tragedy in Kemerovo.

But let's now ban their new construction in cities - only in the field far from the city.

And let's forbid to have children's centers there. These are devices for attracting an additional flow of customers from parents, using children for commercial efficiency.
