The court in Kemerovo arrested the hope of Suddenok - the tenant of the burnt shopping center "Winter Cherry"

The factory district court of Kemerovo arrested for two months Nadezhda Suddenok , the tenant of the Winter Cherry shopping and entertainment center, in which 64 people were killed. She is accused of providing unsafe services, reports TASS.

"Choose a preventive measure <...> in the form of arrest until May 25, 2018," said Judge Dmitry Shandrov. The 44-year-old Suddenok was sent to the pre-trial detention center, notes the Kemerovo newspaper .

The representative of the investigation petitioned for the arrest of the accused. At the same time, he explained this like this: the suspect is not married, there are no children, but he has a large amount of money, which means that he can hide from justice, reports vse42.ru .

In turn, the lawyers of the Suddenok, according to TASS, expressed disagreement with the charge and asked the court to choose a preventive measure that was not related to detention. According to them, the tenant did not try to hide and collaborates with the investigation. One of the defenders drew the attention of the court to the fact that the tenants of the premises are also victims, but they do not make claims to other tenants and owners of the building.

According to vse42.ru, the accused has already stated that it would appeal the court decision on the arrest.

The court also sent the shopping center of the shopping center Sergey Antyushin . According to the newspaper, he is accused of providing services that do not meet the safety requirements of life and health, which entailed the death of two or more persons through negligence.

According to investigators, Antyushin did not include a fire alarm in the shopping center on manual control, TASS reports from the courtroom. The guard did not admit his guilt. He told reporters that the alarm button was invaluable, and he reported this to the authorities.

According to media reports , the investigation petitioned for his arrest for one month and 29 days. “Choose <...> the measure of restraint in the form of detention for a period of 1 month 29 days, until May 25, 2018,” said Judge Irina Masalitina.

In addition to Suddenok and Antyushin, in the fire case, an employee and director of the fire -alarm system "System Integrator" Alexander Nikitin and Igor Polozinenko were detained.

A fire in the Winter Cherry shopping and entertainment center in Kemerovo occurred on March 25. According to official figures, 64 people became victims of the emergency. Russian President Vladimir Putin previously stated that all owners of the shopping center should take part in the investigation of the tragedy. Shtengelov also said that he was communicating with representatives of the Investigative Committee by phone and provides all the information available to him. He also promised to pay the dead to the families of three million rubles for each person.
