Huawei P20 Pro topped the ranking of smartphones with the best cameras

The company DxO Labs, which owns the famous DxOMark service, which deals with professional camera comparisons, tested the cameras of the Huawei P20 Pro and P20 smartphones presented the day before - according to the test results, the smartphones topped the DxOMark rating.

The new leader in the rating, as expected, was the P20 Pro smartphone, which received a triple main camera. In total, the smartphone scored 109 points, significantly surpassing the result of the Samsung Galaxy S9+ (99 points). Experts noted that the new Huawei smartphone outperforms competitors when shooting in low light conditions, and also drew attention to the autofocus performance and low noise level in photographs. According to representatives of DxOMark, the innovative triple camera of the P20 Pro allowed the device to take a big step forward compared to other smartphones and set new rules of the game.

It is worth noting that the P20 model, which received a dual main camera, was also able to get ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S9+, scoring 102 points in testing. Thus, two new Huawei models became the first smartphones in history to surpass 100 points in the DxOMark test.

Let us remember that the triple main camera of the P20 Pro is a combination of an RGB sensor with an impressive resolution of 40 megapixels (F/1.8) and a telephoto module with a resolution of 8 megapixels (F/2.4). Just below them there is an additional monochrome 20-megapixel module (F/1.6). Among the stated characteristics of the camera are the ability to shoot with a photosensitivity of 102400 ISO and the presence of a five-fold hybrid zoom.

Huawei P20 and P20 Pro will be available in black, gold, pink, blue and lilac colors. The start of sales of the devices is scheduled for April 6, and their cost in Europe will be 649 and 899 euros, respectively.
