Chopovts's father, detained for disconnecting the warning system in the shopping center in Kemerovo, said that he could not do it

The father of the guard Sergei Antyushin, who was detained in the case of a fire in the Winter Cherry shopping center in Kemerovo, where at least 64 people died, said that the fire alarm in the shopping center was disabled on March 18, but this was not his son, but someone else.

“The son complained that the alarm was all the time falsely. He reported this to the authorities, and as a result, someone turned it off. This happened on March 18. At the same time, the son could not turn it off, because he didn’t even know how to do it,” the man said in an interview with RT .

On the day of the fire, before the detention of his son, Igor Antyushin spoke several times with him on the phone. Sergei said that when the fire began, he was sitting at the monitors.

“He said, he only saw on the screen that he had tumbled smoke, ran to the fourth floor. I reached or not, I don’t know. In addition to him, there were two more ChOP employees in the shift. For such a huge area, this was negligible. They couldn’t do anything,” said Antyushin Sr..

According to him, in the UK, they first wanted to impose Sergey to the murder of two or more persons by negligence. But then they changed their minds and now they want to accuse him of providing services that do not meet security requirements.

Meanwhile, another accused in this case, Igor Polozinenko, the head of the company developer of the fire safety system in the Winter Cherry shopping center, previously stated that the system was in good condition, but it was disconnected 15 minutes before the fire.

"As of March 25, 2018, at 15: 55, the system was in a technically good state. As far as I know, the system was disconnected by the physically representative of the security ... The main reason why it did not work was the human factor. Due to the fact that the person turned off the warning system, people could not be evacuated from the premises in a timely manner," he said.

Polozinenko also said that the company's technician on March 20 was scheduled to check the system with photofixation, and it was serviceable.

Sergei Antyushin himself previously gave the first testimony to investigators, saying that the guards have repeatedly informed the leadership of the shopping center about violations. However, the administration of the "Winter Cherry" ignored their words.

"When the alarm was spontaneously triggered by us, this happens, we could not turn it off - we called the systems as a system. We constantly reported to the leadership, in particular Bogdanova and Sobolev that there are violations in the shopping center. Some of the hydrants do not work, part of the evacuation exits are cluttered, and so it was always. There are some building materials, black bags with all this. We are talking about all this. They said - they did not listen to us and did not react.

The fire in the Winter Cherry shopping center in Kemerovo occurred on March 25. The fire arose on the fourth floor where the cinema halls were. According to the latest data, 64 people were killed in a fire, including more than 40 children, there are also hospitalized and missing.

Fire alarm and warning system - different things

The investigation established that the fire alarm in the shopping center has not worked since March 19, no one was engaged in the repair, and the security shopping center did not include a serviceable warning system after the start of the fire. “We cannot give this a reasonable explanation, some kind of unprepared person,” said Alexander Bastrykin, the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

On the fact of the emergency, a criminal case was opened under Articles 109, 219 and 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("causing death by negligence", "violation of fire safety requirements, which entailed the death of two or more persons," the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements ").

The detention of five suspects was reported, including the technical director of the company, the owner of the building, the tenant of the premises, in which, supposedly, there was an epicenter of fire, an employee and head of the organization engaged in a fire alarm service, as well as an employee of a private security enterprise, who, according to the investigation, turned the warning system in the shopping center.

On the eve of the UK reported that the four detainees have already been charged . In particular, it is known that the General Director of the Winter Vishnya Kemerovo LLC and the 100%owner of the company, who rented out in the burned shopping center of the area in Subarenda, was charged with the crime under Part 3 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("The provision of services that entailed by negligence of the death of two or more persons").

It is expected that the prosecution of the security guard of Chop will be brought in the near future. The investigation is affected by the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention to all suspects.
