Substate Kemerovo: How rallies after a fire have come to naught

On March 26 and 27, thousands of people entered the rallies in front of the regional administration building in Kemerovo, who demanded an investigation of the causes of the fire and information about the number of victims. The cordon on the Square of the Soviets in front of the regional administration building in Kemerovo was put back on Tuesday, immediately after thousands of protests. He has not yet been removed. The area is guarded by both police officers and the so -called "folk combatants" with incomprehensible status. On the main square of the city, they are allowed only by special transactions, the ban applies, including journalists.

“Contact the press service, without comment,” police officers who are numb are dismissed from questions.

Inside the cordon on the square, for example, playgrounds were, on which before the fire it was always crowded. There are no such people in the Kemerovo yards.

Only the victims and relatives of the dead can go to the administration without a pass: Governor Aman Tuleyev announced that from Thursday he began to accept them personally.

Igor Vostrikov in a fire in the Winter Cherry shopping center lost the whole family: three daughters, wife and sister. Over the past week, he became, perhaps, the most famous resident of Kemerovo. It was after his post on the VKontakte social network, which gained a million views that the Kemerovo residents went to the regional administration to demand the resignation of Tuleyev.

But after a personal meeting with Tuleyev, he made it clear to reporters that he would hardly call people to new rallies.

"Aman Gumirovich himself is interested in finding and installing all the perpetrators to the maximum, he is not going to accurate anyone, to conceal, this is 100%," Eastrikov announced at a press conference after a meeting with the governor. "It is clear that he will facilitate the investigation. He said that there will be no resignations: only prison deadlines."

Journalists expected new rallies for the resignation of the Kemerovo governor on Saturday. But the Kemerovo residents, with whom the journalists of the “present time” talked, for the most part are not going to come to them.

“I think I won’t go there, I personally. The information is very extensive, everything is clear,” says a middle -aged man. “Now it’s difficult, and to aggravate is not serious, unproductive and wrong.”

“I think, it makes no sense to [rally] until the end of the investigation,” the young man notes. “We must wait for information.”

“And the point is to go out? It’s useless to demand something,” the young girl remarks. “Yes, everyone will be deputy, they will fire someone, and we will continue to live, wait for the next tragedy.”

The only place that so far reminds of the tragedy is the popular memorial next to the burned shopping center. People constantly carry new flowers and candles here.
