The starving Crimean political prisoner Baluh is beaten into a pre -trial detention center

Ukrainian activist Vladimir Balukh, sentenced to 3 years 5 months of a colony-settlement in the fabricated case of storage of weapons and ammunition, was beaten in jail. According to Dinze, she learned about the beating of the Baluh from another lawyer who tried to get to the Politzek in the pre-trial detention center, but did not manage to do this due to the overload of the insulator.

Dinze will meet with Baluch on Monday - she will defend the activist in the controlled by the Razdolnensky district court in the fabricated case about the beating of the head of the Razdolnensky IVS. In this case, Judge Tatyana Polikalo arrested the accused for a period until June 19.

The activist was already subjected to beatings in the pre -trial detention center in early 2017, in the summer - insults and beatings from the head of the Razdolnensky IVS Tkachenko. In IvS, Balukha was delivered from a pre -trial detention center to participate in court.

Politzek’s defense filed a complaint against Tkachenko to the police. However, in the end, the Investigative Committee opened the case against the Balukh himself, having charged him with the beating of the head of the IVS. Incriminate for the activist was originally charged with part 1 of Article 318 of the Russian Criminal Code (the application of non -hazardous violence to a representative of the authorities); Then the case was re -qualified to part 2 of Article 321 of the Code (the application of non -hazardous violence to an employee of the place of imprisonment in connection with the exercise of his official activity). Both the first and the second charge provide up to five years in the colony.

Baluh has been holding a hunger strike since March 19. On the 31st, it became known that the Ukrainian health is at risk : Baluh lost a lot of weight and haggard, his chronic diseases have aggravated. Baluhu is unacceptable to conduct a hunger strike for medical reasons - he has a sore liver.

Earlier it was reported that in a pre -trial detention center, the red -headed bronchitis, he had several attacks of urolithiasis and hypertensive crises. The activist was repeatedly called an ambulance both in a pre -trial detention center and in court during the hearing.

From the moment the hunger strike the hunger strike was transferred from a single chamber to another, where he is under constant video surveillance. Politzeck has a neighbor to whom the jailers bring homemade food - Baluh regards this as a form of mockery. Even before the start of the hunger strike, the Fsinovites came to the camera to Baluh and tried to persuade him not to starve.

The verdict of Baluhu was sentenced on January 16 by the judge of the Razdolnensky district court, Elena Tedeeeva, controlled by Russia . The activist was declared guilty under part 1 of Article 222 (illegal circulation of ammunition) and part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (illegal turnover of explosives). As an additional punishment, Tedeev awarded the Policezek a fine of 10 thousand rubles. The judge of the Russian Supreme Court of Crimea Timur Tezko in appeal confirmed the decision of the fine.

Balukh consistently denied the guilt, indicating that the cartridges and checkers were thrown back during the search.

The Baluha case was considered in court again. The first sentence was sent to the activist on August 4, 2017, the judge of the Razdolnensky district court, Maria Bedritskaya. She gave the defendant the same term and the same fine as Tedeev. However, on October 2, this sentence was canceled on formal grounds.

Baluhu is 47 years old, he is a farmer from the village of Serebryanka of the Razdolnensky district. In December 2013, in the first weeks of the revolution of dignity, the activist hung over his house the red-black flag of the Ukrainian rebel army. After a while at night, this flag was secretly disrupted, and Baluh replaced it with the national flag of Ukraine. He did not apply for Russian citizenship after the annexation of Crimea.

On November 29, 2016, Baluh attached a plate on the wall of his house "Wulitz heroes of heavenly, 18". The authorities demanded the sign to remove, threatening the persecution, but the activist ignored the demand.

A week and a half, after December 8, the FSB operatives conducted another search at the Baluh, according to which they announced the discovery of several dozen cartridges and several TNT checkers. The activist was detained and sent to SIZO-1 in Simferopol. He was transferred to house arrest only on December 1, 2017.
