In Irkutsk, a criminal case was opened after the death of the baby HIV-disciplines

Investigators of Irkutsk opened a criminal case after a four -month -old girl died in the city hospital. Her mother was HIV-dissident and did not treat herself or the child.

The criminal case was brought up under part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence). The baby died in February in the Ivano-Matrheninsky hospital as a result of pneumocystal pneumonia, according to the website of the regional administration of the IC of the Russian Federation. A number of forensic medical examinations are being held, in particular, histological, which should establish the exact cause of the death of the child.

Interfax, citing the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Region, clarifies that pneumocycycous pneumonia, with which the girl was hospitalized, is developing against the background of acute immunodeficiency.

As reported on the website of the Irkutsk Regional Center for Prevention and Combating AIDS and infectious diseases (AIDS center), light babies literally exploded from the inside. It is noted that she managed to be five months old. When the girl entered the intensive care unit, a medical consultation was collected in the hospital, to which the patient’s mother was also invited. Doctors determined the final stage of HIV infection in the newborn - the syndrome of acquired immunodeficiency - with severe lung lesions.

The death of the child could be prevented if he was examined in a timely manner and began treatment. Moreover, the disease could not go to the girl if the mother had not refused therapy during pregnancy. However, the woman stubbornly continued to repeat that HIV is a myth, and her daughter is healed instead of riding of ordinary pneumonia. No arguments of the doctors convinced her. Meanwhile, the baby has already fallen into a coma and lived the last hours of her life.

"This case is a striking example of HIV-dissidentiality. In our region, this, unfortunately, is a very common movement. Indeed, HIV infection is not like many diseases and can proceed almost asymptomatic for a long time. Because of this, many people who make such a diagnosis simply do not believe that this can happen to them. And then on numerous forums on the Internet they see these actually scientifically not confirmed and dangerous unresolved and dangerous ones. Ideas that the virus is an invention, ”commented on the incident head doctor of the Irkutsk Center of AIDS Julia Plotnikova.

According to her, detailed instructions are often posted on Internet forums on how to avoid registration and hide from the field of view of doctors.

At all stages of providing medical assistance to the child, doctors performed the entire amount of the necessary procedures and manipulations, but due to the lost time the situation was already uncontrollable.

In the 28-year-old mother of the deceased girl, HIV infection was found more than five years ago. Last year, this woman, being pregnant, refused therapy, despite the urgent recommendations of doctors. Moreover, she dispensed from the antenatal clinic at the place of residence and disappeared from the field of vision of the doctors. Next time, she had already arrived at the doctors immediately before childbirth. During the fights, she conducted an express testing for HIV, which showed a positive result. However, she categorically refused chemoprophylaxis.

After the birth of the child, the doctors filed a lawsuit in the court to start the treatment of the girl, but the court sided with the mother, since formally the diagnosis of the newborn was not yet confirmed. Doctors of the children's clinic came to the HIV accident, but she firmly refused treatment. Then the doctors filed a second civil lawsuit to protect the rights of a minor, but the production was discontinued, because the judge decided that the interests of the baby should not be defended not in civil, but in administrative order.

According to Plotnikova, in the practice of the AIDS center there is the experience of successfully won trials against parents who evade the treatment of their children. But the legislation on HIV infection is imperfect, the existing judicial practice is still few and contradictory. It is necessary to prepare for the claims in advance in order to take into account all the nuances, and the doctors tried to act as quickly as possible, and not a single statement led to the desired result.

After the death of his daughter, the Irkutsk woman continues to blame exclusively doctors. According to the AIDS Center, the criminal case was instituted specifically against the mother. The accused has two more school children.

It should be noted that on January 30, the Kalininsky district court of Tyumen sentenced a woman who refused to treat her daughter to 1.5 years of restriction of freedom, as she did not believe in the existence of HIV. A two -year -old girl died in 2016. In November 2017, mothers from Krasnokamsk of the Perm Territory were given one year and six months of restriction of freedom after she actually killed her eight -year -old son, refusing to treat him from HIV.

Over the fault of HIV-dissidents, dozens of HIV-positive children die annually. At the end of 2017, more than a million HIV-infected people were registered in Russia, which is a record in the history of observations.
