The action “light in blue” - a sign of solidarity with people with autism and their families - captures continents. In Moscow, the color of the skyscrapers on the New Arbat, the Central Telegraph, the Tretyakovka, the Pushkin, the Ostankino TV tower, the conservatory will change the color ... And on the eve of the documentary cinema, a festival dedicated to people with autism and other mental features started. The festival is organized by the center “Anton here is near”, the funds “Naked Hearts” and “Exit”.

Drink the sea

At the opening of several charitable foundations, a joint action agreement was signed. It is difficult to survive one by one, they have long combined efforts in defense and qualified assistance to people with mental features to defend their rights to a decent life. And now, in the association, so to speak, they have “legalized” their relationships.

It seems that in recent years, something has begun to change at all. We talked about the problem of autism. Problems of disability, mental features have ceased to be marginal. But society still runs from resolving accumulated issues, is not ready to take responsibility and accept “atypical” people to the family.

This difficult movement towards vital is necessary for families with special children, and the most fierce society, who is acutely in need of the softening of morals. Natalia Vodianova, president of the Naked Hearts Foundation, calls informing among the main tasks. Not only society suffering from "heart failure", but also families faced with unsolvable problems. Do not know how to talk with their own children, how to respond to external aggression: “Speaking to the now fashionable topic of the development of inclusive society, we are now at the point“ minus one, ”Vodianova believes. But the need to take measures will not go anywhere. You have to do something. ”

Avdotya Smirnova concentrated the work of the Foundation “Exit” on long -term projects, and not on targeted assistance, which, in her opinion, is meaningless: “It is like drinking the sea. If we even collect the money and pay for behavioral therapy for one child, it is not clear what he will do next. ”

The St. Petersburg Center “Anton is here” is an alternative to neuropsychiatric boarding schools, here “students” and their mentors communicate, work and study with each other. One of the main goals is social rehabilitation, exit from authors to life. There should be many similar centers. Former "students" of the center study, live in training apartments, go to work. “The other day, one of the mothers calls,” the founder of the center Lyuba Arkus tells me. - Our Vanya says in the morning: “So far, mom, I went to work,” you can imagine? ” Children and adults sing with Leonid Fedorov, participate in BDT performances, city holidays. “But they need a systemic intensive assistance program,” continues Arcus. - Correctional plants - hopeless isolation, there educators and staff have uncontrolled power. There are wonderful professionals there, but different people are everywhere. This is not about the person to live better. Simply - live: to be friends, walk, study, fall in love, envy. Or die behind bars - in a boarding school. Everyone is bad behind bars, but a person with autism is even worse ... "

Most of our compatriots do not know and, alas, do not really want to know about autism. They live in deaf ignorance, and this can happen to any young couple who decided to have children. With a child who has developed until some point is normal. Around the topic of mental features - so much lack of nothing, shame, lies. This attack is not God's punishment. But shock, a tremendous test for the family, despair: where to go, to whom to rush to your feet? A rare family will take out the burden.

Some of them are really in serious condition, but there is a chance to break through the impenetrable walls to them. Children with mental features write poems and paintings, understand music, develop computer programs, teach foreign languages ​​sometimes faster peers. But even the most talented of them rarely manages to break out of their “four walls”. And to become Einstein, Darwin or Mozart - all of them found signs of autism.

And people of rain have hypersensitivity to falsehood. The words “diagnosis”, “accounting”, “certificate”, “control”, “sheet” mean nothing to them, although they can become a sentence. They are from the paper world where no one believes anyone, where they lie in the eyes and from living people unsubscribe. We need live words for living people nearby. Who teach us to detect meanings, tangibility of familiar words. Distinguish essential from secondary.

Autism is called a disease of civilization. According to the World Health Organization, the number of children with this diagnosis is growing by 13 % per year. According to American doctors, an auto spectrum disorders are found in one of 68 children. In our super-maiden, fixed in the corporation war, they are still strangers among the "equal-stuffy." And they open their arms. In their spacious hearts, love is enough for everyone.

The drama “Her name is Sabina”-a picture of a 32-year-old Sabin-a woman with autism, shot by her sister, European star Sandrin Bonner. You look at Sabina, and sometimes I want the camera to be thrown back, and the director would hug your sister tightly. When Sabina asks directly to the lens dozens of times: “Will you come for sure tomorrow? Sandrin, will you come tomorrow morning? .. "

In kindergartens and schools, in adult centers that we create or take care, children and adults with different records in medical cards. And the films that we selected are not talking about diseases, not about disability, but about humanity and openness. ”

We love success stories. But thanks to rare breakthroughs through the wall of an autistic society, those who managed to realize themselves in ordinary life, it creates a deceptive impression that everything is already good with us. Film Lyubov Arkus "Masha. The language of birds ”, shown at the opening of the festival, about the complexity of the settings.
