Angara region: a document of resolution for shooting a seal is ready

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has already prepared a draft order to adjust the fishing rules for the Baikal fisheries basin. The new law will allow industrial shooting seals on Lake Baikal. The document was published on the portal of draft regulatory acts.

According to the plan, the upper head of the Holy nose to Cape dead will be allowed to extract a seal in the south of Lake Baikal from Cape. The sequence season is scheduled from the beginning of January to April 10, and then - from the "Uplings of Ice" (when you cannot go to the melted ice) until the end of December.

At the same time, the authors of the bill propose to maintain a ban on the catch of nursing and cubs of seals at the age of the underwear, as well as the extraction of seals using smooth -bore rifles or hook gear or using firearms, if the seal is in water or on a floating ice floe.

The public discussion of the project will end on April 12th.

In mid -March, the residents of the Baikalia, outraged by the initiative of the ministry, created a petition with a request to protect the Baikal endemic. For half a month, the initiative against the industrial fishing of the seal gained almost 300 thousand signatures.
