2017 Terrorist attack in the St. Petersburg metro

A year ago, on April 3, 2017, an explosion occurred on the stretch between the St. Petersburg metro stations "Sennaya Ploschad" and "Technological Institute". 16 people died, 87 were injured. According to investigators, the explosion was carried out by a suicide bomber, a Russian citizen, an Uzbek by nationality and a native of Kyrgyzstan, associated with the Islamic State or Al-Qaeda.
