Moscow and Ankara agreed to the accelerated supply of Turkey of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems (SPS) S-400. The transmission of the Turkish production technology for the production of air defense systems, subject to resolving commercial issues, is not excluded.

This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin following negotiations with the head of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, held on April 3 in Ankara. "As for accelerated by the delivery time of the S-400, we did it at the request of our Turkish partners and friends," he said at a press conference. “We accelerated production and agreed on prices, which is extremely important,” the President of the Russian Federation, who is quoted by Interfax , added.

Moreover, according to Putin, there are no restrictions on a military-political nature for the possible transmission of Turkey technologies for the production of S-400 complexes. This issue lies exclusively in a commercial plane, the President of the Russian Federation assured: "The question of joint production, the transfer of technologies for us is not in the field of trust or any political interaction."

According to him, "these are exclusively commercial issues that are resolved at the level of business entities." “We have no military -political considerations on this subject, and there are no restrictions,” Putin emphasized.

In January, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu announced that the contract for the supply of Turkey of Russian C-400 was signed . At the same time, the head of the military department did not call the exact date of the conclusion of the transaction, only noting that this happened "recently."

The negotiations between Russia and Turkey about the purchase of "Triumphs" became known in November 2016. The agreement on the supply of Russian S-400 Turkey was signed at the end of July 2017.
