Several participants of single-person pickets against harassment were detained near the State Duma building in Moscow. This was reported to OVD-Info by human rights activist Margret Satterwaite.
She said that several detainees, whose names are unknown to her, were taken to the Tver police department. After that, the police detained Alena Popova, who was already detained today and released from the department, as well as a participant in the Quiet Picket project.
According to Satterwaite, anyone who has a cardboard figure of State Duma deputy Leonid Slutsky or some kind of poster is being detained.
UPD 20:45 Together with Alena Popova, activists Anastasia Alekseeva and Anastasia Glushkova were detained.
Popova is charged with organizing a public event without filing a notification (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), Alekseeva - violation of the rules for holding a public event by a participant (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
UPD 22:41 Anastasia Glushkova is also charged with violating the rules for holding a public event by a participant (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
All three were released from the department. The trial is scheduled for April 12.
