The Soviet District Court of Kazan arrested Marat Nazmiev and Tagir Salimov on charges of participating in the Tablighi Jamaat organization. It is reported by "TASS" with reference to the press service of the court.
Both are charged with organizing the activities of an extremist association and recruiting its new members (parts 1 and 2 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code).
The investigation believes that Nazmiyev and Salimov organized meetings where they read religious literature and discussed plans to spread their ideology.
Both were taken into custody until May 15.
